Our first visit in Oct this yr. If its peace quiet and tranquility you want this is perfect. Out in the sticks but wow, we had a dog friendly caravan. Very spacious. Clean and with a hot tub, 5 star rating from us thank-you tregoad.
Had a great stay here and with our dog. Stayed in one of the old farm buildings which was clean and comfortable.
Amazing staff who were all so friendly, smiling and helpful.
The huge amount of investment recently put into the place has really elevated standards and hospitality facilities.
Wouldn't hesitate to come back for another break.
Where do I start. Tregoad holiday park is a magnificent, quiet, peaceful, and relaxing holiday park just outside of the outstanding cornish sea side town, Looe. We stayed in the cottages and they were very clean and well maintained, they were also very spacious. If you have a dog this is a perfect holiday park for you they have a lovely dog walking field with many other walks on site they also have dog washing facilities by the stargrazy bar and grill which I must say serves some beautiful and delicious food. We also used the swimming pool on site, which you had to book for, which was great because it meant the pool wasn't overcrowded. The pool was very clean and well kept. Overall, I would say if you're looking for a relaxing and peaceful holiday park in a beautiful part of Cornwall, I would 100% recommend Tregoad holiday park.
Lovely holiday park our accommodation with the hot tub was clean and had everything you would ever need. Great location close enough to get anywhere like looe or Polperro within a 10 minute drive but it's far enough out to be quiet especially at night. Will definitely be returning again next year.
Modern dog friendly holiday park, really enjoyed our stay even though the weather wasn't great with our own private hot tub that is well maintained we were happy, only down side is they charge £5 each for a 1hr session in the swimming pool and they don't have any evening entertainment. We would definitely consider returning in the future.
Caravan park which seems very new, clean and tidy, immaculate actually. Very friendly staff (especially Martin) and can’t say that I had any complaints other than the weather! It’s not really catering for young families since there are limited facilities in terms of children’s activities or entertainment, it’s a quiet park and small but a great place to base from to explore the area. Stargazy bar and grill very nice and I can imagine the outside area is lovely in better weather but we had a lot of rain so could not get the full experience. Food and drinks were nice and reasonably priced. There is one free 3kW EV charger opposite the bar which I used a couple of times which was very welcome. Caravan was very nice, seemed nearly new and in great condition, free WiFi on park and in caravan was nice. Overall it’s a very well kept clean, and tidy park but maybe not for those looking for lots to do, more relaxed atmosphere and maybe better suited to adults.
We were a party of four adults and two children and were looking specifically in the Looe area for a break in July 2023. I found this on Google Maps and was very impressed with the prices and facilities for us.
Checking in was very easy and we went up to our caravan. It looked brand new! Absolutely gorgeous with a lovely sea view...although we didn't get to see that for a day or so. We won't talk about the weather 🙄 As requested they had removed one of the twin beds to leave space for the travel cot we had hired from them.
We were in an 8-berth superior caravan with 3 bedrooms and were surprised to find an ensuite toilet in the main bedroom! Bonus 😁 The main bathroom had a roomy shower and the usual facilities. The kitchen had plenty of storage space, a full fridge/freezer and a dishwasher as well as a full gas cooker and microwave. Plenty of utensils to cook your own meals. A full dining table and chairs with comfy sofas in the main living area. We had no complaints at all! Apart from the weather, which meant we couldn't use the lovely veranda with its table and chairs. We did however get to make friends with one of the wild rabbits living near our van, my grandkids were enthralled 🐰
We didn't get to use the swimming pool but did spend some time in the family room behind the restaurant. Complete with a large soft play area and snooker table, the kids loved it. We didn't eat here but the food looked lovely, if a bit pricey. There is also a lovely outside seating area and play park, again, couldn't use it ☂️🫤
I would highly recommend this park for a holiday in Looe and the surrounding areas. It's roughly half hour from the Tamar Bridge so also a good base for Plymouth and further into Cornwall.
As for Looe itself, don't miss Sarah's Pasty Shop and Ben's Plaice for the best fish and chips 😋
Such a great park! The reception staff, in particular Jo were so attentive. We were arriving late so were emailed after hours instructions, then the next morning we were called to see that everything was in order, which it was. Nothing seemed like it was too much of a chore, as with other holiday parks we have visited. The accommodation was very clean and had great views of the surrounding hills. The pool was clean and never overcrowded. One point though, they could have hooks in the shower area to hang towels/clothing. The bar/restaurant was a nice size. Food looked great, but we didn't dine as we chose to self cater. Kids playground was raked every day (sand) and kept our 4,9 and 11 year olds entertained. Overall we had a brilliant stay, just wish it could have been longer. Will definitely return.
